Easy Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings Recipe


Hello Friends! 

This is a wonderful dish to put in the crockpot on Saturday and then enjoy after a day out with your family. I love easy dished like this that can cook while we are exploring the City! 


Ingredients
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 32 oz. chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic salt 
  • 1 tsp pepper 
  • 1 can of 8 Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Biscuits
  • 1 small bag frozen vegetables 

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breast in sprayed crockpot.
  2. Place diced celery and onion on top of chicken.  
  3. Sprinkle garlic salt on chicken breasts.
  4. Add cream of chicken soup.
  5. Add chicken broth.
  6. Add butter on top and sprinkle pepper.
  7. Cook on LOW for 5 hours.
  8. After 5 hours, chicken should be tender. Take two forks and shred. It should fall apart when you press on it. Continue until all chicken is shredded.
  9. If the broth needs to be thickened (it usually does), add a little cornstarch/water mixture to thicken a bit.
  10. If you are adding mixed vegetables, go ahead and add to the pot.
  11. Take biscuits and cut into small squares (3-4 cuts across and once down the middle). Add to the pot and mash them down just enough to moisten the top of the dough. 
  12. Cook on HIGH for at least 2 hours. Check the center of one of the biscuit dumplings to ensure they are cooked all the way through.
  13. Stir the pot and serve.
Just a note- if you do not like the style of this dish with the biscuits its amazing with rice.

This Week's Workout Schedule and Tips


Hello Friends! 

I am really excited about sharing this new series with you on my YouTube Channel and here on my Blog. This is going to give you the opportunity to follow me during the week and see what new tips I am putting in place in my life and what classes I am taking part in. The idea is for you to then visit YouTube and find a class just like it to do at home or see if your gym offers them!


This week I have really enjoyed several new classes and here is a look at the names so you can see what you can find. 


Class Schedule:

Sunday- Meditation

Monday- Long walk at home

Tuesday- Yoga Class

Wednesday- Insanity Class 

Thursday- Off Day

Friday- Cycle Class 

Saturday - Off Day 


Let's talk about Yoga. 

There are so many different levels of Yoga that you can take part in. Search beginner yoga all the way to advanced on both YouTube and at local gyms. I have taken Yoga many times before but I also love the beginner class because it allows me to move slow and get a great stretch on the weeks that I took more of an advanced Boot-camp style class. 


Barre Sculpt 

This is one class that I absolutely loved and it reminded me of the ten years I took Ballet growing up. Essentially, Barre Sculpt is elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training. The moves are choreographed to motivating music which sets a calm tone in the class. 


Insanity Class 

INSANITY is a revolutionary cardio-based total body conditioning program based on the principles of MAX Interval Training. By using MAX Interval Training, INSANITY pushes the participant to new training heights, resulting in more calories burned, faster results, and a more efficient metabolism.


This past week I came out of the most amazing class and there was a double rainbow waiting for me. This was the perfect way to end class! 


So let's talk about some tips that I have put in place since its all about taking small steps. 

Tip #1
Don't be afraid to try a new class. I jumped in at a new gym and I am trying as many new classes as possible. I am finding what I love and maybe what style doesn't work for me. Just try them! 

Tip #2 
You have to make time for you. There are many days that I want to rush home and turn in after a very busy day but it amazing me if I pull out just a little bit of energy and go for a walk or class I will feel amazing and make better choices. 



Tip #3
When you can't get a workout in go out then just go for a  walk in your neighborhood. Get those steps in. There are days I am so busy with work that I think I must have taken 10,000 steps and I look at my watch and it's only 1,000. Find a way to get more and more steps in. 

Tip #4
Be prepared and pack your snacks and your lunch. You will save so much money and calories. Invest in something to track your steps. You will be surprised how many you are not taking. 



Tip #5 
Have your workout clothes in a place that you can see them to help remind you to wear them and use them! Don't stuff them away in a drawer never to see the light of day. Also, have them out or take them with you to work so you can go to the gym. I find if I come home first I will probably end up staying home. 

Tip #6
Try something new to see different results. This is something we have all heard in our life but write it down and read it daily.

My Current Favorites



Hello Friends! 

I am excited to share my current favorites with you. These are items that I have found that are making a big difference in my everyday life for both personal and business reasons.

This has been one of my favorite items that has been a huge help with our travels. Don't get me wrong, it's perfect for every day but it's really been handy for our long rides in the car. It allows you to plug up 6 different devices at once which means no more waiting for your turn. 


You can see more details above but it's very light and perfect for travel. I love how compact it is and with extra features like a sun visor clip it works perfect in the car.



I love this new charging station and it has made a huge difference for me with keeping all of my devices together in one place. It's travel-friendly and that one item that has to sit on my night stand and now has a permanent place there. 
It's compact and it helps remind me to plug up my items at night so they are ready to be used the next morning. I have a very busy professional life and it's important that I have a fully charged phone and Ipad on me at all times. I can not tell you how many times I would forget to plug it up but this problem is solved!



I am so excited that I have been spending a lot of time in the gym with Eddie and Trey and just love it. This item has been a huge help because it lets me make long ice cubes which fit perfectly in the water bottles. I don't have to fight with the square shape and try to chop them up to fit. Love this tray! 


I have really enjoyed using my reusable Keurig cup because it allows me to pick my favorite flavored coffee and have it ground right in the store. I love trying new flavors and this lets me do that. I also found that my coffee budget has seen savings which I also love. 

I have really enjoyed this product. This product claims that the regimen works together to reduce the appearance of medium to deep wrinkles. I am sure you know each product works differently for each person but I am very pleased with the results I am seeing. I mention more about this product in my Youtube video which I shared below but this will be my new everyday product. In most kits, there is always something that you don't plan to purchase again but I loved every piece in this one and plan to purchase all four of them. 



6. Gym Membership

We recently joined a gym and I just love everything about it. I really look time to think about what I was looking for in a gym and made sure it was a match for me and my needs. I have found that I am really enjoying group classes. I am taking Yoga, Bootcamp, Barre Sculpt, and more. 


I find this works great for me because its an appointment I am making for myself and keeping to help with fitness, stress, and over all well being. 




When it comes to a favorite hobby, I am loving everything about the Felicity Jane line. Felicity Jane offers many different products but my favorite is the beautiful paper she has in her collection.


You can sign up for a monthly subscription or just purchase the kits as you see one you like each month. You can also just purchase the paper which is what I did this past month. The paper has to be the prettiest paper I have ever seen and I love working it.

Silver Serving Pieces From Goodwill and Thrift Stores

Hello Friends!

I am so excited to share my recent Goodwill and Thrift Store haul with you. It's special because Dallas helped me find all of these pieces at local stores in Atlanta. She has so much more to choose from with more locations and larger stores. 

Its been fun looking for each piece because when she goes into the store she will Facetime me and we will shop together. Let me share all the pieces she found. 

You will be able to see the after for each piece toward the end of the post. 

Above is a beautiful creamer that was in need of a great deal of cleaning. I was really excited to see what I could do with it and if it was possible to save it. 


The tray above has to be my favorite piece. I was worried at first because it has what looks like two burn marks on the top of the tray. You can imagine I was very excited to be able to polish them out and bring the tray back to its original beautiful finish. 


The gravy dish above was in pretty good condition and just need a good cleaning. This will be perfect for the holidays or to use for other sauces. I could see this on a dessert bar with hot fudge! 

Now let's take a look at the after with the polished new look! 


I did not have a before picture of this little creamer but the after is just stunning. I love how small and delicate it is. 



Above and below you can see this serving set that she found but what makes it so special is the pineapple that is on each piece. It was made for me! 


She found the little round scalloped dish for a $1.00 and it works perfectly to hold the serving pieces. 


I love this little serving set which is also perfect for a dessert station or anything other creative option. Of course in the video at the bottom of the post, you can see a better and more detailed look at each piece. 



This is a large serving bowl with the lid that I am using as a centerpiece on the table. It's large but still has an elegant look. 



As you can see the gravy bowl turned out very nice and its the perfect addition to my new collection. 





In my next video, I am going to share with you a table tour and share where all the different pieces are from. I will give you a hint.....Walmart and Dollar General!
