Honey Mustard Glaze Salmon Recipe

Honey Mustard Glazed Salmon- This is a must try!

This dish was very good! I am trying to get more fish and chicken in my diet instead of pasta and heavy carb dishes and this was a winner.

The key to making the perfect salmon dish is to not over cook your salmon. If its over cooked you should not even serve it. I love a nice juicy piece of perfectly cooked salmon and the topping is just the extra love you add to it!

  • 1 salmon fillet per person
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Season the salmon filets with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Combine both mustards, honey and garlic into a sauce
  3. Transfer salmon to a baking sheet, skin side down and spread with the mustard sauce
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon
  5. Dish and serve hot. You can top with extra mustard sauce as you would like.

I hope you enjoy this dish! Remember when making something like this you need to like salmon and mustard. Those are the two key ingredients. See you next time!

Bacon Ranch ChIcken Flatout Pizza Recipe

As you know I am in full swing with making healthy changes with our meal plan when I see that I can without taking away from flavor and fun. Here is one that has both of those items and was a big hit not to mention so easy to put together.

It really is as good as it looks. The key with eating healthier is also how you plate your food. If you just throw something on a plate and it doesn't look pleasing to the eye chances are you will not enjoy it as much. If you take a few extra minutes to set up a pretty plate its going to taste even better, I promise!

Here is what you will need:

Chicken (Grill first)
Bacon (Cook your own instead of store bought bacon bits)
Pepper Jack Cheese shredded
Mixed Greens
Package of Flatout Wraps

Start by placing your Flat-out bread on an indoor grill pan or skillet just to toast up very lightly.
Cut your tomato and have all toppings placed in dishes so everyone can make their own pizza. Place ranch on bread first and then layer with cheese and chicken leaving on just long enough so cheese melts slightly.
Take off the heat and top with salad, tomato, and more cheese.

Always have extra bacon on hand because everything is better with bacon and ranch! See you next time!

Kitchen Sink Organization

There is nothing I love more than an organized kitchen! I want to share how I have my sink area organized and what has always worked for me. When I find a system that works I stick with it.

When you have a clean workspace you will find that you are more inspired. The kitchen is the perfect place for extra inspiration and will help you stay on track with meal planning. I also find it keeps me on track with keeping other parts of my home organized.

Step One-
Start by taking everything out from under your kitchen sink. Wipe down the space and check floor for any water marks. This is a good idea to do every couple of months just to make sure the sink or bottles are not leaking. The last thing you want to have is a wet mess under your sink.

Step Two-
Look at all of your products to make sure nothing has expired. Cleaning products can expire. Also look to see what you use for the purpose of cleaning your kitchen. Under your sink should not be a storage unit for every product in your home. Bathroom cleaning supplies should be kept in the bathroom and I will share that soon in an upcoming post and video. If you have a small space in your bathroom you then use a space in your laundry room. Try to make under the kitchen sink the last place you use for the extra items so it does not turn into a catch all.

I would recommend this door caddy to hold sponges and scrub brushes. You can purchase these at HomeGoods and Walmart. I paid $4.99 for this one and its worth every penny. I do not like to keep a lot of extra things on my counter and this keeps them out of site.

I also keep my paper towels below on this rod. It keeps them off the counter and clean.

Check out my video for more tips on how to keep your sink area clean and organized.

See you next time!

Halloween Series | Monster Bash Popcorn and Broomsticks

I am having so much fun sharing this Halloween Series for 2015! I have one more after this so I hope you have had the chance to take them all in. If not I would really recommend going back and viewing them all.

My family really enjoyed this one because after it was complete they were able to eat the work! Having a family movie night wrapped around Halloween was so much fun. This will be something we do every year and for every holiday!

You will be able to see in my video at the bottom of the page how to make these adorable Witches Broomsticks. They are so easy to put together and look so cute sitting out as a Halloween themed treat.

The Monster Bash Popcorn was amazing and so easy to make. It also saves really good and makes a perfect mid-night snack. Who know adding white chocolate and Oreos to popcorn would be so amazing!

The table set up just looked perfect and went great with my theme. I love adding special touches to make the night special.

Just adding ribbon can even bring it up to the next level. You can always find ribbon on sale at locations like Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

I picked up all of my pumpkins that you see on my table at Target this year. Run out quickly before they sell out.

I had so much fun sharing this idea with you and again be sure to check out all of my videos for the Halloween ideas.

Take a look at my video here to see more details!

See you with my next tutorial!

Pizza Pasta Bake Recipe

This is a real winner in my home. It makes such a large pot and you will have plenty for lunch the next day to take to work.

1 lb Twisted Pasta
1 package of Sausage
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
½ cup diced white onion
1 carrot, diced
30 oz  plain tomato sauce

1/2 Jar Ragu Tomato & Garlic Spaghetti Sauce 1 garlic clove minced
1/2 cup of mini pepperoni1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
8 oz  low-fat mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp red pepper flakes, served along side (Optional!)

Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, in a large sautee pan heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan, brown sausage until cooked through. Place sausage on a plate lined with paper towel. Do not rinse your sausage.

In a large pot heat the second tablespoon of oil in a pan. Sautee onion and carrot  until tender, 5-8 minutes. Add tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce and garlic and 1 tsp salt and pepper to taste. Add the sausage back to the pot.

Drain pasta and add to the sauce pot. Also add mini pepperoni and toss to coat. Transfer mixture into a large heat safe casserole dish. Top with cheese.

Place casserole under he broiler for 2-4 mins until cheese is golden brown and bubbly.

Serve “oven to table” with red pepper flakes on the side.

I hope you enjoy!
