Christmas Entrance to My Home

Welcome to my home!

I love how when you enter my home there is a nutcracker in place to greet you and he stands guard at night!

This year I found this adorable picture at Kirklands and had to have it for my entry way of my home. I loved the fact that it was on sale and it matched the area perfectly!

Next to my front door I have this little side table that has my new special delivery Santa mailbox. I love the idea of dropping off a letter to Santa and then taking a cup of hot chocolate. Sounds fun right!

I found this at Michaels and I just love it. You can put letters in on the top and take them out from the back.

I also found this "Believe" pillow at Michaels during their big doorbuster sale. I picked it up for $5.00 and I just love it. The metal wire basket is from the Bullseye Spot at Target. The blanket scarf is also from Target.

I love the way everything came together this year. It's one of my favorite spots and makes me so happy to walk by each night.

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at this years decor. I love adding new pieces easy year and this year were some of my favorite additions .

I have attached the video below so you can see more details. Have fun and be sure to subscribe so you never miss out!

DIY Peppermint Sticks for Hot Chocolate and Movie Night

I have had so much fun sharing my 25 Days of Christmas on my Youtube Channel this year and one of my favorite items to share have been these adorable Peppermint Spoons for your hot chocolate!

You will need Starlight Peppermints and a Silicon Spoon Mold that you can find on Amazon.

Here is what you do:
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • In a ziplock bag, crush the peppermints. You can see in my video how I crushed mine.
  • Use a teaspoon to fill the spoon mold with the crushed peppermint – be sure to put extra by the top of the spoon part and at the neck of the spoon (where the spoon and handle meet). These are areas that break easy.
  • Place in oven and let melt completely. Mine took about 10 minutes, but every oven is different and you just have to watch it. Once it had melt a good bit, I took mine out and added some additional crushed peppermint wherever it looked thin. I let it cook for a few minutes longer.
  • Take out of the oven and let cool. Only the parents should touch it when it comes out because it is very hot!

These are so cute sitting out for your Hot Chocolate Cocoa Night to go along with Movie Night!

Christmas Dining Room Tour Which is One of My Favorites

I have really enjoyed sharing my 25 Days of Christmas Series with all of you on both my Youtube channel and my blog. Here is a look at my Christmas Dining Room tour. Come along as I share each special detail with you!

Starting off with a look of the dining room, I went with a red plaid theme. I love the look of red plaid during the holidays. I picked up this tablecloth last year and simply folded it to make it a runner. It's great to find ways to make an item work for you in two different ways.

I am a huge fan of Nutcrackers and these two match my theme perfectly. The sequins are amazing on his vest and his gold platform matches the gold theme perfectly.

I wanted a centerpiece that was not so tall that you could not see over it and this was very simple. I placed delicate ornaments in a glass topped dish. It really is just that simple.

I love the ornaments on each of my trees and I always make sure I add to my collection by shopping at Pier 1 the day after Christmas. I love the look of their ornaments but the Nutcrackers, of course, are my favorite.

I have one of my two tall Nutcrackers standing guard at the tree. I was very excited to pick these up one year after Christmas during the big sale.

I had added a special touch on my coffee bar with the sweet sign I found at Hobby Lobby this year. Hot Cocoa anyone?

Every year I get so excited to have the chance to use my candy cane napkins from Pier 1. This year I wrapped a sweet ribbon around them with a small ornament. Both the ribbon and ornament are from the Target PaperSource collection.

I love these little dessert glasses with the red and green colors running through them. Perfect addition!

The hutch has a beautiful garland that I made a few years ago. To help keep this together I hang this on nails in my attic so it stays full.

The Christmas tree has the matching red plaid ribbon that I picked up from Michaels. A tip with the ribbon is always try to purchase the wired ribbon because it's so much easier to work with and holds its shape better.

I am very happy with how everything came together and I can not wait for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day Breakfast!

Come along and you can watch my video to see a more detailed view!

I hope you enjoyed the tour and I can't wait to share with you again tomorrow!
