These were a huge hit and will stay on our list forever!!! They are a must try. The best part is they don't have to stay hot just warm to room temperature while your party is going on. Here's what you need.
- 3 strips bacon
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 cup hot wing sauce
- 2 boxes Athens Mini Fillo Shells
- Heat skillet and add bacon to brown for about 6 minutes. Remove the bacon and crumble when cool. Be sure to crumble into very small pieces.
Add the celery and onion to the bacon grease. Sautee until they are soften. Then turn off the heat and add the cream cheese. Allow the cream cheese to melt a little, then mix in the chicken and hot wing sauce. Add the bacon crumbles back in. Mix well.
Spoon the warm chicken mixture into the phyllo shells. You can sprinkle with celery leaves for extra color. Serve warm or at room temperature.
